Eliz Gracie was born and raised in Moldova, coming from a poor family. During his high school years, he had his first son Ethan, and his second son Efim at ages 16 and 17 with the woman he is he went on to marry, and is still married to. He and his family moved to Amsterdam when he turned 25 for Eliz to start an MMA career. Eliz had one more son, Elias Gracie when he was 28. Eliz is now retired from MMA, and his three sons followed his footsteps and are also MMA fighters.
