Gholam was born to grapple. Aged 8, his home in Tehran was broken into by an armed intruder weighing 60kg heavier than him. By sheer determination, skill and willpower he was able to subdue his attacker and protect his family. This lit a fire in Gholam's belly. He went on to become the youngest ever olympic gold medalist in Wrestling, aged just 18, representing his native Iran. "Mr. Cauli" was born with a Cauliflower Ear the same size as it is today. Grappling is literally in his DNA.
