It is time for the debut of GrappleGate USA ‘s first event, dubbed Grapple Night in America, this Saturday July 19th, in Las Vegas NV. GNIA will be the weekly/biweekly event for GGUSA with our flagship event, which will be dubbed GrappleMania, being scheduled monthly with the highest ranked contenders filling the card. GrappleMania’s first event will be scheduled once the clear top dogs of GGUSA start to separate themselves from the rest of the field.
And now introducing the lineup for our debut event:
Bout 1: Cael Sanderson (0-0) vs Henry Hill (0-0)
Sanderson is a tough 16-year-old wrestler by trade, sporting a blue belt looking to burst on to the scene against 18-year-old Henry Hill. Hill has had 1 professional MMA fight and now brings his purple belt skills to GGUSA and looks to put the division on notice.
Bout 2: D.E Panda (0-0) vs Kamari Hanna (0-0)
Panda is an 18-year-old grappling specialist, pruple belt looking to secure his first professional victory against fellow 18-year-old Kamari Hanna. Hanna also sporting a purple belt will be looking to make waves in his professional debut.
Bout 3: Taneli Salo (0-0) vs Issak Popov (0-0)
Salo comes in as an 18-year-old Brown Belt making his professional debut, against hard nosed wrestler Isaak Popov. Popov may only be a blue belt but he also may be the best pure wrestler in the division.
Bout 4: Thiago Mesquita (0-0) vs Gavyn Cobb (2-1)
Mesquita is 19-year-old brown belt submission specialist, and he will need every tool in his toolbox to take down 25-year-old Gavyn Cobb. Cobb, a TWGC 44 semi-finalist, comes in with experience and proven ability.
Bout 5: Barry Chickorita (6-4) vs Freddy Lummings (0-1)
In our Co-Main Event we have 22-year-old Barry Chickorita, Barry brings a ton of experience to GGUSA. With exceptional wrestling and a brown belt, Chickorita will be a handful for 23-year-old Freddy Lummings. Lummings will be the first ever Black Belt to compete under the GGUSA Banner and looks to christen the 265lbs open weight division with a victory.
Bout 6: Khadzhimurat Gatsalov (2-2) vs Otto Kolan (9-2)
And now for our Main Event of the evening, we have two highly skilled highly experienced black belts. Gatsalov, a veteran of CFC is a sensational wrestler and will look to takedown 21-year-old Otto Kolan. Kolan is a submission specialist with 7 of his 9 victories coming by submission. The winner of this bout will surely be in the drivers seat to Main Event GrappleMania and become GGUSA’s first champion.
