ITFL 5.2 PBP Commentary


Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Russell Bell and Duane Perry. Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Nice uppercut lands for Perry. That snapped Bell's head back.

Bell does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Bell has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Good exchange - Bell coming out on top.

Bell uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Perry.
Perry fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bell.
Perry throws out a powerful jab.
Perry keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Bell takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Bell misses the shot to the body.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Perry. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Perry paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Bell is rocked!

Perry drops Bell with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Bell! Perry dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

In his post fight interview, Duane Perry gave a big smile as he said 'ROTFLMAO did you really think you could beat me? LOL hAhahahahah. STFU noob.'.
